Missouri truck accident injures mother, leaves child unhurt

The News-Leader reported that a Springfield car accident sent one victim to the hospital with serious injuries Wednesday morning.

Police cite an icy roadway as the cause of the head-on Missouri auto accident. The 28-year-old Springfield auto accident victim was transported to the hospital by helicopter, and her 3-year-old son was not injured in the crash.

The Missouri truck accident happened when the van the victim was driving slid on the ice around a blind curve and struck a tractor-trailer nearly head-on.
