October 26, 2007
A 20-year-old woman died in a St. Louis auto accident Thursday night, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. The woman was driving a Nissan Altima on Interstate 255 around 5:25 p.m. when another driver changed lanes and clipped the car accident victim’s car.
The second driver’s car spun out of control and hit a guard rail while the woman who was clipped was sent careening across the median and into oncoming traffic. She was hit by a third vehicle and shunted off the right side of the highway, where her car burst into flames.
Witness removed her from the vehicle and performed CPR while they waited for paramedics to arrive, but she passed away.
The third driver was taken to Memorial Hospital in Belleville with non life-threatening St. Louis car accident injuries, and the woman who caused the Missouri auto accident was charged with improper lane usage, according to police.
