St. Louis Doctor Inspires Patients With Similar Conditions

August 7, 2012
A doctor at the St. Louis Children’s Hospital in Missouri not only knows exactly what her patients are going through, but has a message of encouragement for them as well. According to KSDK5 News, the doctor suffers from cerebral palsy, as does many of her patients.
Cerebral palsy is a condition that affects a person’s ability to move, stand, and speak, but can present many other challenges as well. It’s normally caused by a lack of oxygen getting to the brain during pregnancy and childbirth, but can also be associated with botched labor.
The young doctor says that she has battled the condition her entire life and has overcome most obstacles put in her way. She graduated from the Medical College in Virginia and began work in 1998 at the Pediatric Neurology Cerebral Palsy Center to help children suffering from the same condition achieve their dreams as she had.
The doctor and her staff push patients to never say there is something they cannot or will not be able to do. Instead, they are encouraged to continually try until they are successful at achieving their goals.
The St. Louis personal injury lawyers with Cofman Townsley Injury Lawyers would like to applaud this doctor for all her hard work in helping others who have suffered similar St. Louis brain injuries achieve their dreams and live happy, productive lives. She is a true inspiration to us all.
