St. Louis Slip and Fall Accident Leaves Worker Seriously Injured

November 12, 2013
There are numerous accidents that present hazards to employees on the work site, but the St. Louis Slip and Fall Accident Lawyer with Cofman Townsley Injury Lawyers explain that one of the most common types of incidents that result in claims of injury are slips, trips, and falls. In fact, the Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that these incidents were responsible for more than 15 percent of all workplace fatalities that occurred last year.
More recently though, a St. Louis, Missouri, worker was left seriously injured as the result of a slip and fall accident that occurred at a worksite on the north side of town several weeks ago. Reports indicate the incident occurred at approximately 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, at a residence located on Mallinckrodt Street.
According to a story from KMOV 4 News, the victim was part of a crew hired to repair a wall of a multi-family structure. In the process though, the back wall that was being repaired suddenly collapsed, causing the worker to fall from the structure and be struck by crumbling debris.
Emergency crews rushed the victim to a local hospital for treatment to a number of injuries.
Cofman Townsley and their team of St. Louis Personal Injury Lawyers say the incident highlights the serious dangers workers face each day and urge anyone who is hurt on-the-job to discuss their legal rights with an attorney as soon as possible.
