Man sentenced to 10 years for causing fatal Missouri drunk driving accident

A man was sentenced to 10 years in prison Thursday for the death of a 21-year-old in a St. Louis auto accident that happened on April 20, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

 The driver pleaded guilty Nov. 26 to driving under the influence when he ran into the back of another vehicle. The Missouri drunk driving victim was stopped a red light when the crash happened.

 The impact of the car accident killed a 21-year-old college student who was riding in the back seat and seriously injured two of her friends.

 The man who caused the drunk driving accident fled the scene and admitted to be intoxicated when he was caught by police hours later.
