Michael Finley

Michael Finley grew up in north St. Louis County, the son of a McDonnell Douglas/Boeing engineer. Guided by a special dedication to helping those who have suffered wrongful loss, Michael focuses his practice on achieving justice for Cofman Townsley clients who have sustained injuries in accidents caused by the wrongdoing of others.
Michael spent the first ten years of his career representing insurance companies. As a result, he is uniquely aware of the tactics they use to avoid properly compensating injured people. He uses this knowledge and his passion for helping people to fight insurance companies to achieve the best results for our injured clients.
Throughout his career, Michael has regularly achieved excellent results for clients across Missouri and Illinois, including securing successful jury and judge verdicts. He has regularly appeared in the courts of the following counties:
- Missouri: St. Louis City and County, St. Charles, Jefferson, Franklin, Lincoln, Washington, Jackson, and Clay
- Illinois: Madison, St. Clair, and Randolph
Michael strives to keep our clients well-informed and advised. He focuses on client satisfaction by leading his legal team to deliver excellent results. He knows how important it is for clients to have a winning team fighting for them.
In addition to practicing law, Michael has served his fellow citizens of Ballwin, Missouri, as Alderman of Ward 1 since first being elected in 2010.
Outside of the office, he enjoys playing hockey and bass guitar. He is joining the St. Louis Forever Baseball League, where he will play for the team managed by his fellow associate, Tom Wall. Fun Fact: Michael was an extra in the 2009 movie “Up in the Air.”
