Unsafe toys recalled for lead poisoning risk

November 9, 2007

MSNBC.com reported that 175,000 more toys have been recalled in the recent slew because of dangerous levels of lead being present in the toys, which could potentially cause lead poisoning.

No reports of illness connected to the Curious George Plush Dolls that were recalled Thursday have been reported. The Chinese-manufactured toys were sold along with story and activity books at discount stores and toy stores throughout the U.S. between 2005 and 2007.

Parents are strongly encouraged to look through their children’s toys to ensure they will avoid Missouri lead poisoning injuries.
