J. Thomas Mudd
J. Thomas Mudd is an associate at Cofman Townsley and focuses his practice on personal injury and workplace injuries.
Prior to joining Cofman Townsley, Tom spent years representing companies ranging in size from privately held businesses to multinational corporations, and insurance companies, working at national and regional litigation firms in defense of claims. Tom learned first-hand the various tactics used by insurance companies to attempt to settle claims for less and uses this knowledge to fight for better results for his clients.
After graduating from law school, Tom worked as a trial attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender in Northwest Missouri where he represented clients facing criminal charges in state court before entering private practice.
A St. Louis native, Tom graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with a B.A. in political science. He returned home and earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. Tom is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
Outside of Cofman Townsley, Tom enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, playing golf and spending time with his wife and family.
