J. Thomas Mudd
Attorney
J. Thomas Mudd is an associate at Cofman Townsley and focuses his practice on representing individuals who have sustained injuries as a result of automobile, trucking, and motorcycle crashes, dog bites, as well as dangerous property conditions.
Prior to joining Cofman Townsley, Tom spent years representing companies ranging in size from privately held businesses to multinational corporations, and their insurance companies, working at national and regional litigation firms in defense of personal injury claims. Tom learned first-hand the various tactics used by insurance companies to defend claims in an attempt to settle for less and uses this knowledge to fight for the best possible results for his clients.
A St. Louis native, Tom graduated from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee with a B.A. in political science. He returned home and earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. Tom is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois.
After graduating from law school, Tom worked as a trial attorney for the Missouri State Public Defender in Northwest Missouri where he represented clients facing criminal charges in state court before entering private practice.
Outside of Cofman Townsley, Tom enjoys cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and family.
